Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the glowConnect marketplace and the paid Studio subscription.

Effective date: 29 April 2026

1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and GLOW CONNECT (“glowConnect”, “we”, “us”), the operator of the glowConnect mobile applications, the website at app.glowconnect.in , and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, signing in, listing services, or purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy . If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

If you accept these Terms on behalf of a business, partnership, or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity, and references to “you” include that entity.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. You must not be barred from receiving our services under the laws of India or any other applicable jurisdiction.

Providers must additionally be lawfully authorised to offer the beauty, wellness, or grooming services advertised in their listings, including holding any registrations, licences, or consents required by local law.

3. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • “Platform” means the glowConnect apps, website, APIs, and related services.
  • “Provider” means a salon, parlour, studio, or independent artist who lists services on the Platform.
  • “Customer” means an individual who discovers or books services through the Platform.
  • “Services” means the beauty, wellness, or grooming services offered by Providers.
  • “Subscription” means the paid Studio plan a Provider holds with glowConnect.
  • “Content” means any text, image, or data submitted to the Platform by a user.

4. Account Registration & Security

You create an account by signing in with a phone-number OTP, an email and password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us at support@glowconnect.in without undue delay if you suspect unauthorised access. Each individual or entity must hold no more than one account, unless we expressly consent otherwise.

5. Role of glowConnect

glowConnect is a marketplace intermediary that enables discovery between Customers and independent Providers. We are an “intermediary” under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and claim safe-harbour protection under Section 79 of the same Act.

We do not supply the Services listed by Providers, do not employ the Providers, and are not a party to any contract formed between a Customer and a Provider for the delivery of a Service. Providers are solely responsible for the quality, safety, legality, and pricing of their Services and for honouring their listings.

6. Provider Terms

As a Provider, you represent and warrant that:

  • All information in your profile and listings is accurate, current, and not misleading.
  • You hold all licences, registrations, and approvals required to offer each Service.
  • You own or have licensed all portfolio images, text, and other Content you upload.
  • Prices shown are the prices you will charge; applicable GST and other taxes are your responsibility.
  • You will honour appointments, communicate schedule changes promptly, and maintain a professional standard of care.

glowConnect may, in its discretion, review Provider listings and remove or edit Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

7. Subscription Plans & Paid Visibility

Customer-visible listings on the Platform are gated by a paid Studio subscription. A Provider may log in and manage a profile without a subscription, but Services are visible to Customers in search and nearby discovery only while the subscription is in “trialing”, “active”, or “grace” state.

We currently offer three monthly plans:

  • Starter (Plan 1) — includes a 30-day free trial for new subscribers.
  • Growth (Plan 2).
  • Pro (Plan 3).

Current prices for each plan are displayed on the in-app paywall at the time of purchase. Pricing follows the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) price tiers and may differ slightly across stores due to currency rounding. Plan inclusions are also described on the paywall. We may add or reorganise features within a plan without notice, provided we do not materially reduce the value of an existing Provider's paid period.

8. Free Trial

New Providers are eligible for a single 30-day free trial on the Starter plan. Eligibility is determined by Apple or Google at the time of purchase on mobile. A Provider may not receive more than one trial across all devices associated with the same Apple ID, Google account, or glowConnect account.

At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid Starter subscription at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Cancellation during the trial means you will not be charged and your trial will continue until its scheduled end date.

9. Billing, Auto-Renewal & Platform Processors

On iOS, payment is taken by Apple through the App Store and is governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. On Android, payment is taken by Google through Google Play Billing and is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service. Subscription entitlement and receipts are mediated by RevenueCat, Inc. on our behalf. On the web, payments will be processed by Cashfree Payments India Private Limited or another payment gateway we designate; web billing is not live at the effective date of these Terms.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store or Google Play after purchase.

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). Indirect taxes, where applicable, are included unless expressly stated otherwise on the paywall.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; your listings remain visible until that period ends, after which a 7-day read-only grace window applies (see Section 25).

  • iOS: Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions → glowConnect → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → glowConnect → Cancel.
  • Web (when live): Your account settings inside the web app.

Apple and Google require that cancellation be performed through their respective platforms; we cannot cancel an Apple- or Google-billed subscription on your behalf.

11. Refunds

Refund requests for purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and can be initiated at reportaproblem.apple.com . Refund requests for purchases made through Google Play are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy and can be initiated through your Play account.

Web purchases (when live) will be refundable only in accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the refund rules of the processing payment gateway. Because subscription value accrues at the time of delivery of digital visibility, refunds for partial periods are ordinarily not available.

12. Price Changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any increase will be communicated to you by email and inside the Platform at least 30 days before it takes effect. A material price increase will require your affirmative consent at the next renewal, as required by Apple and Google policies; if you do not consent, the subscription will cancel at the end of the then-current period.

13. Customer Terms

As a Customer, you agree to use the Platform only to discover and book genuine Services, to honour the appointments you make, and to pay the Provider directly (on the Platform or at the Provider's premises) as agreed at booking.

Reviews and ratings you submit must be based on personal experience with the relevant Service and must not be defamatory, misleading, or harassing.

Booking Cancellation & No-Show Policies

  • Customer cancellations: You may cancel a booking request at any time before it is accepted by the Provider. Once accepted, cancellations should be made with reasonable notice (at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, unless the Provider specifies otherwise).
  • Provider cancellations: Providers may decline booking requests for any reason. After acceptance, Providers may cancel only in case of emergency or unavoidable circumstances. Providers must notify Customers promptly of cancellations.
  • No-show policy: If you fail to appear for a confirmed booking without notice, the Provider may mark it as a no-show. Repeated no-shows may result in account restrictions.
  • Late arrival: Providers may accommodate late arrivals at their discretion. Providers are not required to provide the full service duration if you arrive significantly late.
  • Compensation: glowConnect does not mandate compensation for cancellations or no-shows. Any compensation or rescheduling policies are determined by the individual Provider and should be clearly communicated in the booking workflow.
  • Dispute resolution: For disputes about cancellations, no-shows, or refunds, contact support@glowconnect.in. We will facilitate resolution but do not guarantee refunds or compensation.

14. Booking Policies

Both Customers and Providers must adhere to these booking policies to maintain a trustworthy marketplace:

  • Accurate information: Customers must provide accurate information when booking, including correct contact details, preferred date/time, number of people, and any special requirements.
  • Response times: Providers should respond to booking requests within 24 hours. Repeated failure to respond may result in account downgrade or suspension.
  • Professional conduct: Both parties must communicate professionally. Harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behaviour in booking messages is grounds for account suspension.
  • Service delivery: Providers must deliver services as described in their listings. Significant deviations from described services may be reported to support@glowconnect.in.
  • Payment: Unless otherwise specified, Customers pay Providers directly at the time of service. glowConnect does not process payments for individual bookings (only Platform subscriptions).
  • Booking modifications: Changes to booked appointments (time, date, service details) require mutual agreement. Either party may propose changes via the messaging system.

glowConnect reserves the right to intervene in booking disputes and to restrict access to the booking system for users who repeatedly violate these policies.

15. Messaging Terms

The glowConnect messaging system enables communication between Customers and Providers. By using messaging, you agree to these terms:

  • Acceptable use: Messaging is intended for service-related communication only. This includes discussing appointments, services, pricing, availability, and special requests.
  • Prohibited content: You must not send messages that are defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise offensive. Solicitation, spam, and unsolicited marketing are prohibited.
  • Image sharing: You may share images relevant to the service (e.g., reference photos, before/after photos). Sharing inappropriate, illegal, or copyrighted images is prohibited.
  • Off-platform solicitation: You must not use messaging to move conversations off-platform for the purpose of circumventing Platform fees or safety mechanisms. This includes requesting payments via personal methods or requesting contact information for off-platform communication.
  • Message deletion: You can delete messages you have sent. However, deleted messages may remain in the recipient's local app storage and on our servers for retention periods specified in our Privacy Policy.
  • Monitoring: glowConnect does not actively monitor message content for the purpose of moderation. However, we may review messages if reported for policy violations or as required for safety, support, or legal compliance.
  • Service references: Messages may reference specific services or bookings. These references are stored and displayed as links within conversations.

Violation of messaging terms may result in message deletion, messaging restrictions, or account suspension. Flagrant or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination.

16. Location & Search Terms

glowConnect uses location data for nearby service discovery and map-based features. By using location features, you agree to these terms:

  • GPS usage: With your permission, we collect GPS coordinates from your device to calculate distances to Providers and show nearby services. Location permission is optional; you can use the Platform without granting it.
  • Location accuracy: We encourage Customers to grant precise location permission for accurate distance calculations. Approximate location may reduce result relevance.
  • Provider location: Providers must submit accurate business location during onboarding. Submitting false or misleading location information is grounds for account suspension.
  • Google Maps integration: We use Google Maps API for address validation, autocomplete, and map display. Your location and search queries are sent to Google per their privacy policy.
  • Location disclaimers: Distance calculations and nearby results are estimates based on GPS coordinates. We do not guarantee accuracy. Service availability by location is subject to Provider discretion.
  • Search location caching: We may cache your search location to improve relevance. This data is stored per our Privacy Policy.
  • No tracking: We do not track your location continuously in the background. Location is collected only when you actively use location-based features or grant permission.

Misuse of location features (e.g., submitting false locations, spoofing GPS coordinates) is prohibited and may result in account restrictions.

17. Reviews & Feedback

Reviews and feedback help maintain quality and trust on the Platform. These terms apply to all reviews:

  • Authenticity requirement: Reviews must be based on genuine personal experience with the Provider. You may not submit reviews for services you have not actually received.
  • Incentivised reviews: Providers must not offer compensation, discounts, or other incentives in exchange for positive reviews. Customers must not solicit compensation for removing or changing reviews.
  • Image attachments: You may attach images to reviews (e.g., before/after photos). Images must be relevant to the service, must not infringe third-party rights, and must comply with content guidelines.
  • Defamatory content: Reviews must not contain defamatory, abusive, or harassing language. Constructive criticism is encouraged; personal attacks are prohibited.
  • Provider responses: Providers may respond to reviews professionally. Responses must not be retaliatory, abusive, or defensive. Providers cannot edit or delete customer reviews.
  • Moderation: We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these terms or our content policies. Removed reviews are not restored.
  • Deleted accounts: If a Customer deletes their account, their reviews remain on the Platform. To remove reviews, the Customer must delete each review individually before account deletion.
  • Dispute resolution: If you believe a review violates these terms, report it via support@glowconnect.in. We will review and take action if appropriate.

Review manipulation (e.g., submitting fake reviews, coordinating review campaigns, threatening Providers) is prohibited and may result in account suspension and legal action.

18. User Content & Licence

You retain ownership of the Content you submit. By submitting Content, you grant glowConnect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, reproduce, adapt, translate, and display that Content on the Platform and in marketing materials promoting the Platform, in each case for the duration your Content remains on the Platform plus a reasonable period necessary for archival, legal, and backup purposes.

You warrant that your Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

19. Prohibited Conduct

You must not, and must not permit any third party to, upload or transmit any Content that falls within the categories listed in Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including Content that:

  • Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, or invasive of another's privacy;
  • Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary right;
  • Violates any law for the time being in force;
  • Deceives or misleads about the origin of a message, or communicates grossly offensive or menacing information;
  • Impersonates any person;
  • Threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty of India;
  • Contains software viruses or any other code designed to interrupt or limit the functionality of any computer resource.

You must not scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive source code from the Platform, and must not use the Platform to conduct off-platform solicitation of Customers or Providers.

20. Prohibited Services

The following types of services are prohibited from being listed on the glowConnect Platform:

  • Illegal services: Any service that is illegal under Indian law or the laws of any applicable jurisdiction.
  • Medical procedures: Invasive medical, cosmetic, or surgical procedures that require medical licensure (e.g., injectables, laser treatments, minor surgeries) unless performed by licensed medical professionals with proof of qualifications.
  • Adult services: Services of an adult or sexual nature, including but not limited to erotic massage, escort services, or any services involving nudity or sexual activity.
  • Harmful practices: Services that involve physical harm, cruelty, or dangerous practices (e.g., hazardous skin treatments, unregulated chemical procedures).
  • Fraudulent services: Services that mislead Customers about their nature, efficacy, or provider qualifications.
  • Unlicensed services: Regulated services (e.g., hair removal, skin treatments, tattooing) offered by Providers without required licences or certifications.
  • Counterfeit products: Services involving counterfeit, adulterated, or unauthorised cosmetic or beauty products.

Providers listing prohibited services will have their listings removed and may face account suspension or termination. Repeated violations will be reported to relevant authorities. glowConnect reserves the right to determine what constitutes a prohibited service at our sole discretion.

21. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including all software, graphics, text, and the glowConnect name and marks, is owned by glowConnect and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. No rights are granted to you except the limited licence to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.

22. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, glowConnect disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that Provider Services are safe, lawful, licensed, or of any particular quality. Customers engage Providers at their own risk. glowConnect does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Platform or error-free operation.

23. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, glowConnect's total aggregate liability to you arising out of or related to the Platform or these Terms shall not exceed the amount of subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹10,000, whichever is greater.

In no event shall glowConnect be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

24. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless glowConnect and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your Content, or your Services.

25. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the integrity of the Platform. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@glowconnect.in, or by following the self-service process described in Section 26.

If your subscription expires, a 7-day soft-grace window applies during which your existing listings remain visible to Customers but you cannot publish or edit Services. On day 8 after expiry, all of your Services are hidden from Customer search until you renew.

26. Account Deletion & Recovery

You may delete your glowConnect account at any time. We support two paths:

  • Inside the app or web app — Account → Delete Account. We email you a one-time code; entering the code confirms the request.
  • Without signing in — visit app.glowconnect.in/account/delete and submit your account email; we email a verification link, and clicking it starts the deletion.

30-day recovery window

When a deletion is confirmed, your account is marked for deletion and you are signed out of all sessions. For 30 days, signing in again with the same credentials shows a one-tap “Recover Account” option. After 30 days, an automated process permanently erases your data and the account cannot be recovered.

Effect on Provider listings and subscriptions

If you are a Provider, your services are hidden from Customer search and discovery within seconds of deletion. Your subscription state on our side becomes “deleted”. Deleting your glowConnect account does not cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription — only Apple or Google can do that, and you must cancel via your Apple ID or Google Play account settings to stop future charges. We provide direct links in the deletion confirmation screen and the confirmation email.

Effect on other users' history

To preserve other users' experience, the following content is not hard-deleted but is anonymized so your name and avatar are replaced by “Deleted user”:

  • Reviews you wrote about Providers (the rating and text remain on the Provider's public profile).
  • Messages you sent in conversations with other users (the surviving participant keeps their chat history).
  • Bookings (the surviving party still sees the record; your contact details are blanked).

Admin retention

During the 30-day recovery window, our internal admin and support staff can still see your unanonymized data for fraud investigation, legal compliance, and to help you recover the account. After the 30-day cascade completes, even admins can no longer see your data.

27. Grievance Officer

In accordance with Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Grievance Officer for glowConnect is:

The Grievance Officer will acknowledge receipt of a grievance within 24 hours and dispose of it within 15 days.

28. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-law jurisdiction rules, the courts of Kerala shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

29. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will give you reasonable notice by email or inside the Platform before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
